Mata Lingeshwari Temple is in Chhattisgarh 

There is a unique temple of Mata Lingeshwari in Kondagaon district of Chhattisgarh.

It is believed that every wish made in the temple is fulfilled.

The Prasad offered in this temple is also quite unique.

The temple opens only for 12 hours a year 

The place in Chhattisgarh where this temple was built is a Naxalite area.

This is the reason why people do not go near this temple due to security and going there is also prohibited.

There are lush green forests in the middle of this area, and a small village named Alor is also here.

Mata Lingeshwari temple is on a small hill in this village.

Entry is done by removing stones 

To reach this temple one has to remove a stone kept on the hill.

The idols of Lord Shiva and Parvati are installed in this temple.

This is the reason why it is known as Lingeshwari.

There is a small tunnel on the south side of this temple, which is the entrance to this cave. The entrance is so small that one can enter here only by sitting or lying down. There is so much space inside that about 25 to 30 people can sit comfortably.

Inside the cave, there is a natural Shivalinga in the middle of the rock, whose length would be about two or two and a half feet. Eyewitnesses believe that earlier its height was very low. This Shivalinga cave of Bastar is secret.

The door opens only one day throughout the year, the rest of the days it remains covered. It has been given the name Lingai Mata, a combination of Shiva and Shakti. Every year this natural temple is opened on the Wednesday following the ninth date of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. Devotees keep coming throughout the day, offering darshan and worship. After, this the door is closed by placing a stone on it.

A cucumber is offered to fulfill the wish 

It is also believed that if you offer cucumber in this temple, your wish will be fulfilled.

This is the reason why you will get to see many cucumbers outside this temple.

But People not only offer cucumber but also take the cucumber given as Prasad to their homes.

It is believed that offering cucumber here brings happiness to the child.

When the doors of this temple are opened, people are informed about it, and darshan is done here under the supervision of the police administration.

Lingeshwari Mata Alor There is such a court in Alor, Farasgaon in Chhattisgarh.

There is a very picturesque mountain range on the right side of the Panchayat.

The center of this mountain range is 100 meters above ground level.

The statue of ancient mother Lingeshwari Devi is present at the height of the temple.

The doors of Alor temple open only once a year.

First belief

Many couples without children visit the Alor temple to seek blessings for parenthood.

According to the temple’s rules, they must offer cucumbers and then tear them with their nails.

It is mandatory to eat the entire cucumber, including the bitter part, in front of the Shivalinga inside the temple’s cave.

This natural pagoda is the spiritual center of faith and reverence in the entire state.

Second belief

Local people also say that after the puja, the Alor temple is closed by spreading sand on its surface (rock). Next year, footprints of animals are found on this sand.

By looking at the marks, future events are predicted.

 

As soon as the door of the temple of Lingeshwari Mata opens, five people see the marks marked on the sand and give information about the events happening in the future. If there are cat’s paw marks on the sand, then it is considered a symbol of famine and if there are horse hoof marks, then it is considered a symbol of war or discord.

Due to this special tradition and belief of the people that has been going on for generations, Shivlinga also is worshiped on one day in the month of Bhadrapada. The door of Lingeshwari Mata opens only once a year. The darshan starts with the sunrise and continues till sunset. Devotees are thrilled to see the idol of the Mother Goddess.

 

A large number of childless couples come here with the desire to have a child. His wish is fulfilled.

Location

Alor Temple: The village Alor Temple is situated on the Badedongar road, about nine kilometers west of Farasgaon, the development block headquarters of Kondagaon district.

Also a hill, about two kilometers northwest of the village, which is known as Lingai Mata.

There is widespread rock on top of this small hill. There is a huge stone on top of the rock.
