Sage Agastya met Shri Ram in Rametak
It was he who gave the knowledge of weapons as well as Brahmastra to Lord Rama. So, only with the help of this Brahmastra that Lord Rama was able to kill Ravana. It is said that Sage Agastya had also told Lord Rama about the atrocities of Ravana at this very place. People have a lot of faith in this place.
Ramtek is the place where Lord Ram and sage Agatsya met. Sage Agatsya not only gave Lord Rama the knowledge of weapons but also gave him Brahmastra. When Shri Ram saw heaps of bones everywhere at this place, he questioned Agatsya about it. Then he told that these were the bones of those sages who used to worship here. Demons used to create obstacles while performing yagya and puja, after knowing about which Shri Ram took a vow that he would destroy them. Not only this, Rishi Agatsya had also told Lord Rama about the atrocities of Ravana here. Lord Rama was able to kill Ravana only through the Brahmastra given by him.
Ramtek is the place where the great poet Kalidas wrote the epic Meghdoot. Therefore this place is also called Ramgiri, although later its name became Ramtek. Whereas in Treta Yuga, there used to be only one mountain in Ramtek. Today, this temple is one of the famous temples of Lord Rama. Ram Tekri Ratanpur Chhattisgarh
Ram Tekri is located in Ratanpur village on the Bilaspur to Katghora road, about 25 kilometers from the Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh and about 140 kilometers from the capital Raipur. Which is built on a mountain, due to which it is called Ram Tekri. People coming here see Lord Ram sitting with Mother Sita. It is said that this temple was built during the rule of Marathas. Beautiful granite statues of Lord Ram, Sita and Lord Hanuman are present in Ram Tekri. It derives its name from the Ram-Janaki temple on the hill. Tourists and devotees gather here on every auspicious occasion.
Description of Ram Tekri (Geography)
It is a wonderful temple situated on a hill and surrounded on all sides by abundant greenery. This bus is situated on the main road at a distance of about 3 kilometers from Mahamaya Temple of Ratanpur, the journey of which is quite exciting in a way. Ram Tekri is on the mountains

History of Ram Tekri
It is said that Maratha ruler Bimba ji was also a devotee of Lord Ram. It is believed that this temple must have been constructed during his reign. Because Maratha ruler Bimba ji is seen standing with folded hands in front of Lord Ram. This temple was built on a high mountain amidst the beauty of nature. People get a different kind of peace after reaching here.
Many people also believe that Maratha king Shivaji Rao Bhonsle had built this temple.
In ancient times, Raipur and Ratanpur were two separate districts:
Ratanpur state and Raipur state were located to the north and south of Shivnath.
In every kingdom there were clearly and definitely only 18 forts.
Why the number of forts was kept only eighteen is not known for sure, but according to a mention found in Ratanpur in 1114, King Kokaldev of Haihay dynasty of Chedi had 18 sons and he divided his kingdom into 18 parts and gave it to his sons.
Was. Probably, to maintain the memory of the same dynasty, the kingdom was divided into 18 strongholds. Each Garh had 7 talukas and each taluka had at least 12 villages.
Thus, it was mandatory for each fort to have at least 84 villages.
The number of villages in a taluka could be more than 84 but could not be less than 84.
Since the kingdom belonged to the Suryavanshis, keeping in mind the 7 rays and 12 zodiac signs of the Sun, the number of taluks and villages was kept at 7 and at least 12 respectively. In this way the glory of the Sun God was visible everywhere.
