Maitri Bagh Chhattisgarh State’s Biggest and Oldest Zoo

This garden is in Bhilai city of our Chhattisgarh state, in 1972 by Bhilai Steel Plant.

It is next to two man-made reservoirs by the Bhilai Steel Plant.

Bhilai Water Works is near Maitri Gab, which provides clean drinking water to the entire city.

Zoo in Maitri Bagh 

The main attractions of the zoo are exotic animals and avian species, a lake, a tow train, a white tiger, etc.

The musical fountain, on an island in the artificial lake of Maitri Bagh, presents a dynamic spectacle of water that responds to the beat of the music implying the style and timbre of the musical performance.

As the tune of the music changes, so do the jets of water in the air.

The zoo is open from 10 AM to 5 PM on all days of the week.

 Maitri Bagh remains closed on all Mondays.

The park is open from 10 AM to 7:30 PM.

Musical fountain Timing

The musical fountain takes place from 7 PM onwards on only Saturdays and Sundays.

The toy train ride is from 3 PM to 6 PM on the open days.
